Jack, it’s been 23 years since I started working on product blast cleaning and shot peening and attended the EI Orlando Seminar. Even though I moved from operations engineering to product design, I still read every issue of EI. You and EI still rock!

The magazine is always very informative and keeps me up to date on where the technology is headed. Prof. Dr. David Kirk’s articles are excellent as well and I learn a lot from them.

Professor David Kirk’s article on residual stress origins in the recent magazine is a masterpiece. While few may totally understand the mathematics involved, it’s important for all to recognize the how and why of compressive residual stress creation. Kudos to David!

The Shot Peener is a wonderful journal, one I’ve enjoyed for years. But old age (I’m 92) suggests that it’s time to give it up. I do so with sadness and regret. (This testimonial was sent to us during a subscription renewal program.)
